European Social Charter

The European Social Charter reasserts some guiding principles on the safeguard of employees  and, in general terms, the Group image, which apply to every EU Member State where the Generali Group operates.

Here are some of the issues dealt with by the European Social Charter:
  • full respect for workers’ fundamental rights;
  • promotion of corporate dialogue between the Management and workers’ representatives;
  • the search for the best strategies in managing, protecting and enhancing human resources;
  • respect for basic social rights, the right of workers to be represented and the performance of their functions.

The European Social Charter, presented by the Group’s Top Management by handing out the document to the Select Committee delegates of the European Works Council (EWC) , is implemented in all European countries where the Group operates and is available to all staff members working in the different Group entities.
